Beyond the Barre was built on a dream to offer the young and old aspiring dancers in the West Rand the opportunity to work towards and reach their dreams of dancing on stage.
We take great pride in our inclusive dance environment that allows children and adults from all walks of life to experience and enjoy the gift of dance
Beyond the Barre offers dancers multiple opportunities to perform on stage and grow their experience in the field through examinations, competitions and theatre productions.
Our Mission
Our Mission at BTB is to bring quality, affordable dance training to the West Rand community. Our academy focuses on training dancers for a performing arts career and present our dancers with multiple opportunities to perform on stage each year.
We aim to be a light in our community through regular community service projects, scholarships and outreaches.

We are passionate about our mission and values and strive to serve our dancers and parents to the best of our abilities. Our teachers are also dedicated to continually educate themselves in order to stay up to date with the latest syllabi and training methods.
AGE-APPROPRIATENESS
We strongly value age-appropriate music, choreography, and costumes. We also have strict rules when it comes to which ages are allowed to compete in competitions to protect our younger dancers.

We like to set the "barre" high, striving for excellence in the way our classes are presented, in our communication with our dance families and in our conduct.
